In A Dream

The other day I wrote a blog and whilst talking about crushes, I jokingly said "I try to play it smart... and get my way, but you can only do so much to get Tai Wesley to notice you." Tai wasn't even a legitimate crush, it was more of a joke saying these boys are just out of my league.

Well guess what? It's story time. (If you don't feel like reading all the juicy details, I bolded the typical blog material).

This past week I have met the coolest people, hung out with new best friends, had relationships grow deeper and fuller... and I still feel like I'm in a dream. Best week of college so far.

1. Tuesday through Friday: I spent my time with these people. Liz, Ashley, Emilee, Chelsea, Megan, John, Randall and sometimes Jake and Jared. These boys live in the The Blue Light House and throw some killer dance parties, so "like" that page to get the goods. What's great about knowing these gentlemen, is that when they aren't throwing their awesome parties, there's still ALWAYS a party. Rock band, DJ Hero, ramen and eggs, Oreo balls, wall decorations, pickle pong, interlude dancing and movie nights. I mean, I didn't really live til I met these guys cuz I hadn't seen Dumb and Dumber. (Now I sure have). And these girls... are my favorite. I get to live with them next year... I finally feel like I belong in a group. I have friends here and there  all over campus, but I feel like there's an actual place for me to be.

So last week was party week. All day, err day... partying hard with my friends. I was already saying it was the best week ever before the rest of my weekend even happened.

2. Saturday: First I cleaned with Kevin Doxey. (I should start a cleaning business, because if those boy's bathroom couldn't phase me... not much can.)

Then I got ready to party with Liz and Ashley at the Luau. This was already an amazing time when we walked in and saw this Polynesian missionary from Australia. Beautiful combination. The goal was to get a picture with him. Was it to make Emilee jealous or because we were all in love at first sight? Who knows... but it was funny to watch.

We went to the show... AMAZING. Mmm, mmm, mmm... oiled up, muscular, tall, dark and handsome men. I definitely was impressed. So we decided to take pictures.

And because Ashley is Hawaiian (PLUS me and Liz by association), she was definitely on this in with Bill Sproat, aka Wild Bill. And who's Bill's best friend...? Tai Wesley. So after Ashley and Bill exchanged numbers, we exchanged names and here comes the ever so tall and hot Tai Wesley to give his "good job" to Bill. We shook hands, he learned our names, he definitely worked his charm... and my little joke from the other day... became REAL.

At this point, I was already jumping up and down... on this inside AND the outside. So stoked. I was already saying it was the best NIGHT ever... before the rest of my weekend even happened.

Then we went to the dance party and broke it down with the three kids on the floor. Tai was rolling on this dolly cart thing... it got away from him and well...

He felt bad... apologized... and BTW, this STILL hurts.

Anyway, DANCE PARTY... then we went to leave and Bill called Ashley. Next thing ya know we are at the Extreme Home Make-Over house that's in Logan eating all the left over food with the Polynesian dancers, including Bill... and Tai Wesley.

Aside from having to prove to Tai we were in college with our ids (me and Liz), he was really funny and so was Bill. They started club Karma, we got our dance on a lil bit more... and then we bounced.

I then went to Jared's with Kylee, Scott, Jason and some other girls. Great times smurfing...

I was already saying I was in a dream... BEFORE the rest of my weekend happened.

3. Sunday: I woke up and went to Liz and Ashley's talks. They were fabulous... I love Liz's analogy about obedience. "Obedience is like rock band." When you start to fail, it flashes red, it's less chaotic when you are hitting the notes and when you do fail, you can be saved.

I ate at the junction for the first time. Tim Tam Slams with hot chocolate... so good. I made cookies in room 302.

And then Bill called Ashley to have us make him, Tai and Preston lunch. They left for a while... and we tackled Bill's kitchen. After throwing away some moldy bread, avocados, using knives instead of rags to clean the counters... we made delicious ravioli and set the table.

We played spoons, loser drinks water... (I peed three times in an hour.) We played 69 with the poker chips... losers do push-ups (little sore).  We played kemps... Tai was my partner. "Looks like it's me and you sweetheart" "Uhm, do you remember my name?" Hahaha, he did by the second time I asked that. We dominated... until Ashley and Bill got good. All I know is that game involved telling secrets with Tai, his arm around me... and eye contact....... 'nuff said.

I probably died and went to heaven... cuz it sure felt like it. Until the next game...

...We played firework war! Fun game, right? Not right. It started while I was in the bathroom... Bill shot a firework in. Yeah, terrifying. Then we started throwing them at each other running around the house screaming, not knowing how to work lighters... oh and of course the firework to the eye by Tai. He just has a way of getting me every time.

Bill started lighting them off again after the war was over. Went off in my lap, awesome. But not as awesome as when he pulled out the air-soft gun. I definitely have some welts...

We played more games. We sang the friday song over and over and over. Listened to some great Hawaiian tunes... and had the time of my life for about six hours.

A lot of people say Tai is such a jerk... "he's so blah blah blah." Do you know him? Cuz I definitely do now, and as far as I know, he is hilarious... and just like a little boy at heart. And Bill Sproat is HILARIOUS.

A lot of people say stuff about a lot of people. They say it about the "jerk" I used to date. And it really irks me... cuz even I who went through a lot of drama with that guy and can still see the good in him, and can still pull out the good qualities. We have to understand, we can ALL be jerks, we all have some justification to ourselves to label someone certain ways... but really we have no right. Utah is so judgmental, that is my one complaint about this place. Yeah they are friendly to most people, unless they have a rep. Get passed the reputations and stereotypes and find out for yourself how people are and WHO people are. I'm sick of that.

Anyway, burnt a grilled cheese for the 3456789 time... then I went to Keenans. Movie night with my other favorite new friends and Kylee. Then, I hit the hay. Or was I already asleep... cuz it surely was a dream come true.

I guess the point of this blog is to say... that yeah the other day in my blog post I complained because I didn't get that ONE crush... that I thought I really wanted for months. I did all the right things... and then when I got the not-interested signs... I backed off, kinda discouraged. So I made it seem like "Oh I just keep liking these Tai Wesley's that won't notice me" type of thing, well guess what... Tai Wesley did notice me... so anything is possible... it's not that you  aren't good enough... that ONE crush, isn't worth getting down about... cuz it wasn't supposed to happen for a reason and it'll all work out in the end.

I heard about these boys BEFORE I even came to Utah State. I saw them on TV, I heard the hype... I sat front row at the games and watched drooling as Tai destroyed with the Aggies. I sat front row and laughed with the whole crowd AND ESPN at Bill's outfits. And never, never, never would I think Liz, Ashley and I would hang out with them, would cook them dinner, would play firework attack... it's just amazing how life surprises you!
