Age does not decide when you are ready to be married. Age doesn't decide when you have hit maturity. Age difference does not decide success or failure in a relationship. Age doesn't make you better. It doesn't make you smarter. Age is not a defining characteristic. Age is the number of candles you put on your cake; the legal time in your life to drive, drink and vote; age is but a number. Age doesn't mean you're right.
I used to be so stubborn, still tend to be that way, If someone said one thing about a person, I'd believe it. If someone made one argument, I'd take their side. It's called tunnel vision. Now, I've learned to see both sides... and you know what, I've been humbled because I know I'm not always right... I know my friends aren't always right and I know that everyone has an opinion and valid argument for their feelings.
When you only see one person's perspective, when you only look at the consequences of an action on one person... when you only see the pain in your own heart, then you will just see a portion of reality, you will see darkness.
Sometimes forty year old women are more close-minded and subjective then guys I've met here in their twenties. Growing up isn't turning 18, 25 or 30, it's simply getting rid of the tunnel... and seeing life from a fuller perspective. Instead of seeing only you in your world, see everyone in the world.
When you get rid of the tunnel, you look at it from a wider perspective, you will see both sides, you will be swayed by both arguments, and you will know the truth, see the light and be less ignorant.
Open your eyes and see.
