Logan is such a friendly, accepting town. Cache Valley is one of the safest places in the world to live. In fact in 2005 & 2007 it was THE safest place. It's small enough that you're not just another face, but big enough that you have everything you need i.e. Walmart, Olive Garden, Little Ceasers, 24 hour Subway...
When I walk to class I see AT LEAST one person I know every time, but everyday I have the opportunity to meet someone new. People you don't even know are constantly smiling and waving at you on the sidewalk, how cool is that? I made instant friends the second I moved three states away.
The Spectrum. The Sports. The Fans. I don't know about you, but I could NEVER go to a school without sports, that is one of the biggest high lights of high school and college thus far for me. I love sports.
The fact that I'm a freshmen and I can cheer from front row... legit.
They actually wanted me here. I wasn't just another tuition check, they really took the time to get me here and then I was able to get involved in admissions and University leadership before I even started my classes freshmen year.
How'd I get involved? The Out-Of-State Recruitment Team & 13 new best friends.
Being involved and not just another face, gives me the confidence to be myself aka Utah State gives me that confidence.
The Education Program: I am majoring in Special Education specializing in Severe Disabilities and Early Childhood Education. I got a job my month up here and it is actually relative to my major at the autistic preschool. No matter what program or college you chose and Utah State there are hands on tools to experiencing what you're learning right through the college. I love for mine that there is an elementary school on campus and this preschool, that there are amazing professors with smallish class sizes so that I can get the personal help and be successful.

+House parties, Sig Ep parties, HURD parties, after game dance parties... there's always a party going on. Everyday is a party.
LDS Point of View: I am living around people who share my beliefs. Being LDS, I was always the minority in my hometown of Olympia, Washington. A lot of my friends did things that I would consider against my own personal morals. I won't judge them for what they believe, it's just not me. I would never ever consider even thinking about doing it over again and living anywhere but Olympia, but as our paths emerged at the end of our Senior year I was grateful to break away from what I was used to and come to Utah. In Utah it was kind of a culture shock and there are ups and downs of both places. While I'm going to college, I want to be surrounded by people who share understanding of my beliefs and so day after day isn't a constant explanation of why I do one thing one way and why I don't do what other people do. It's not even that everyone is LDS here, so many people I am close to even here in Utah don't go to church or have the values, but they are around it and understand it; no questions asked.
Another thing on that note that I love is that we have institute, callings, FHE, church meetings... and NONE of it is required. But we filled up the whole spectrum when an apostle came, we fill up the whole chapel and relief society room each Sunday. People go to church and class because they want to, not because they have to. People are modest because they want to be, not because they have to be. And that has been an amazing strength to me here at Utah State.
I like that Utah State you get the college experience. There's no curfew on me or rules. I do what I want and make the "big girl" choices for myself. That is truly how I will learn... by having the best parents in the world and putting their words to the test as I find a perfect balance for myself.
I would suggest this school to anyone. It is amazing! I have met the most amazing people there are to meet. I have had so many unforgettable times. I have made so many new best friends that will be in my life forever. And the good times keep rollin'
These are some of the kids we've recruited. They're awesome!
Zero Regrets.
Utah State is the BEST school there is.
I'm from Washington & I belong at Utah State
