Super Sized Translates To Awkward

Do you ever feel awkward at the weirdest times, or insecure over the littlest things?? I sure do.

I can get in front of a whole room of people, my whole high school gym of people, or a classroom of strangers and not feel awkward or nervous... and then at the littlest things I can't barely handle it.

Today I went to buy all my groceries... I got milk, butter, fruit, some cup of noodles, chicken nuggets, just normal things and then the super size plastic bag of "fake" Lucky Charms AKA Marshmallow Mateys...

When I got up to the counter there were two young guys ready to scan my food, so I pulled out this HUGE joke to "just let them know" that "this whole bag isn't for me..." with a "like I'd eat that whole bag by myself HA!" attitude.

I totally pulled if off as this big joke... and it was funny 'HA HA,' but the truth is... I really WAS planning on keeping these to myself... I have to give Kylee a bowl now just to save a lie.

Why did I think those guys really cared who was eating the groceries I was buying? They even said they wouldn't have even said anything, and I said, "yes, but you would've thought it... and I don't wanna be that girl." Ha, I am that girl and who cares? Surely not them.

Moments I Find Awkward-est:
-Buying large quantities of food for myself.
-Answering an incoming phone call from a number I don't know.
-Crossing the street.
-Parallel parking, (even though no one knows who's driving)
-Four way stops with people in Utah who don't know how.
-Calling people to make an appointment or to leave a scripted message.
-Seeing someone you know from a distance, wanting to say hi, but not knowing when to act like you've seen them...
-Running to/after the bus.
-The awkward pause after you tell a "funny" story
-Being stuck in the parking garage with no money and a line behind you (true story).
-Saying hi, the person doesn't see you, do you follow through or quit??!

Sometimes it's the awkward moments that add a little fun and knowledge into your life: running after the bus gives you the work out, pauses after funny stories help you re-think what's worth repeating, parking garage strand-ations teach carrying cash... ect. Overall though, I LOVE awkward moments............................ afterwards. Always a great story.
