Jerry

My life is incredible. My life has been happy. I have been meeting new friends, seeing old friends. Just cruising through the last part of the semester and really getting back to happy camper Lauren.

I became associated with the famous Oak Ridge "Scooter Gang" and decided that I'm gonna buy a scooter myself so I can just cruise all summer. Two or three days later, I had the cutest scooter in my possession. After a five hour trip to Kaysville, Centerville and West Valley, meeting Jer, Alfy, Anthony and getting a new best friend who has a matching scooter, listening to Oh Darling on repeat with hat riddle entertainment... I got my cute baby.

His name is Jerry:

I filled him up with gas for the first time, which was two dollars.
That'll get me 50 miles... I think I can handle that!

And then I was ready to my first ride with Matt. We went through the back roads, down the hill to the island and were on our way to the castle house.

Well about 15 minutes or so into the drive, we are on crappy roads, I am being an IDIOT going to fast, hit some gravel... next thing ya know I'm cuddling with the curb and Jerry is in the middle of the road. I rolled, scraped myself in at least nine places. By some miracle didn't hit my head.

A guy called an ambulance. Three cars stopped. It was a traumatic experience for me and Jerry, but I got up and told him to call the ambulance back that I was going to be just dandy. Hopped on Matt's scooter, washed myself up... and Jerry was returned safely to my home.

Yes, I got my scooter two days ago.
Yes I got in an accident already.
But, that probably won't ever happen like that again.
So when Jerry is back in commission and my raw wounds have scabbed,
we will be good to go.

Arm, hand, back and the knee with a golf ball sized swell.

Overall, not the most ideal situation.
But it could be a lot worse and I'm just happy to have Jer in my life now.

Plus my dad cracks me up...

RIDE ON.
Oh and wear a helmet :)
