Homeless in a week & loving life

Here's the latest on the Paces. We are moving from the mortuary, and as of right now we are moving to the streets. We are supposed to be out July 1st, but we haven't confirmed a new place yet. Homeless, yep. We are looking and have applied to several. So now we play the waiting game. We have been playing the waiting game with a few things lately, and I have to say it has been a test of faith. We know that our Heavenly Father is looking out for us, and that we need to have faith in His plan and in His timing. With prayerful searching for a home and working hard to find one, we know that we will find a place that will be perfect for our little family. It's especially a test for me because I'm a planner, and this not knowing where I'll be living in a week thing... it's a lot stressful. I am handling it okay as long as I constantly change my mindset and focus on the many blessings in my life.

Home to Washington

A couple weeks ago, I made it home for a few days to visit my family & friends. Brooklyn got her mission call about 10 minutes after I showed up to surprise her, then we opened it that night with all her friends and family. She's going to Australia, by the way. The next day Brooklyn graduated from high school and then the day after that Seminary. It was also her birthday so we did a big summer birthdays shopping trip on Monday, which was quite successful.

It was a short trip, but it was productive and I saw almost everyone who makes me miss being home (missed out on some of the Falters). I even saw Brianna and Terri!!! We're all so excited for Brooklyn to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for eighteen months in Australia. She will learn lots and experience a whole new world over there.

More on my Puppy Child

He does cute things like fall asleep on the watermelon, so how could we not love him?

We like to go on walks and wear him out so he can sleep through the night longer.

We take him places we shouldn't... like Summerfest. But if he never touches the ground, I don't think it counts that he's even there.

Brooklyn learned how to roof with PJ for a few minutes. We both learned how fast and hard PJ works in comparison.  Lunch on the rooftops with my hard-working hotty.

We discover beautiful new hikes around Logan.

And love to do it with family.

We had our first summer smores and fire.

And take some pretty cozy naps.

The last night Brooklyn was in town we borrowed Jack's canoe and after SEVERAL technical difficulties got it out on the water. PJ paddled us around as we talked and listened to David Wolf open his mission call! I love my little family and it was lots of fun to have Brooklyn hang out with us in Utah for a bit.

Duke loves acting big and going on adventures with us.

Brooklyn's butt.... that's all.

Our killer set-up.... if you are wondering why the trailer is on the back, it's just for looks cuz apparently we didn't need it... and it's full of yard scraps.

I got 36 books while garage sale-ing on Saturday.... only spent $6.
And they are awesome. Legit. I know.

SICK PUP

Little guy woke up super sick Sunday morning. There was a bunch of poop stuck inside of him and for some reason his (GRAPHIC) bum hole was clogged. He was trying to poop all morning and just cried with no success. I was worried why he wasn't popping, so I looked at his butt. It's like this giant poop-filled tumor area. Major concern... so I held a warm rag on his butt after a few minutes whatever was clogging his bottom hole was softened and he was able to poop. Then I gave him a bath and soaked his bottom, I was able to clean him all up and get the dried poop off. After that, he pooped again, but was still acting sore. I looked at his bottom was like pink and swollen, almost like a human sized hemorrhoid on his little booty. We cuddled him for a while and gave him lots of water. Then we had to go to church. I asked PJ to go check on him while I was in nursery, and he seemed okay. Now he's perky and less swollen. It was weird, so if anyone has experience with this issue, let me know what caused it, I don't want the poop pup having to go through that again.

He didn't eat anything weird. My uneducated guess is the hair around his bum got poop stuck and blocked it... or got in his anal glands...? Time for a bum trim!

But it's okay, because I gave my puppy child some infant massage and he loved it.
Now he's fast asleep.
