Sometimes I can't really figure out what I like to do. It's hard, I'm usually okay with not deciding... because then I don't have to feel bad if the person I'm with doesn't want to do what I want to do. I say, "you can choose." And then I obviously have to be okay with the choice. Some people really like to play/watch sports... or to sew... or to sing... I tried a few of those, but I can never really make it above average. What do I like to do? What do I want to do? I like to write, a lot. Most I don't even post anymore. I like to love novels and watch romances. I like to do all this stuff on my own... but what do I like to do with people? Have you ever had to try and figure that out?
I have finally decided what I love to do.
It took time to time pondering...
and then it hit me when I got the best present of all:
a $3.50 Halloween shirt that glows in the dark.
It can be simple or elaborate.
And it changes quite frequently.
I love to celebrate the season.
In the summer I like to take picnics, go on hikes, swim, vacation, ice block, scooter rides and so on. In the Spring, I like to wear my easter sweater and do hunts, visit baby animal day, feed the ducks... you know how it goes. In the winter I like to celebrate Christmas in millions of ways, deck out for Valentine's Day, build snowmen, make hot chocolate, watch movies and do donuts in the parking lot. I like to play music that fit with the time of year. I like to make count-down chains with movie quotes, wear jingle bell pants and bring presents to all my family. I like to wear outfits that represent the holiday or season.
In the fall, I love to carve pumpkins, make pumpkin flavored treats, Carmel apples, pumpkin walks, scary movies, haunted corn maze, dressing up, halloween t-shirts and pumpkin seeds.
So from now on... when it's my turn to decide what I want to do that night, I will know:
I want to celebrate the season.
Sunday drives by my favorite places... the trees are all changing.
Pumpkin walk with my neighbor fellows.
They are such great sports! Loved this!
Pumpkin carving, scary movie, pumpkin seeds, I love him!
Fall is a great season. And so is winter, spring and summer.
(Though, winter could be a lot shorter)
Fall is beautiful.
And this life is beautiful, even on it's ugliest days.
Holy cow. I love this post so much! How.... inspiring! It really makes me want to "Be here now" and stop waiting for the "next great thing" to happen. I needed this post Pudds! Love you so much!
