One Happy Life

Success is getting what you want.
Happiness is liking what you get.
- H Jackson Brown Jr.

So many times in our lives, we're focused on this next big move: where are we going, where we want to be by this year and this year... I know, I redid my four year plan about three times in the last week. So. Not. Fun. But I know what I want and I plan on getting there, but getting to that point, should not be the focus of all that I am.

Success will be getting out of Old Farm,
Happiness will be making the best of it with the time I have left.
Success will be graduating college,
Happiness will be the all the great times I have left.
Success will be falling in love,
Happiness will be enduring and LOVING awkward dates and creeps until then.
Success awaits me,
But each day I have until I reach a goal,
Will just make me happy. :)

Are you counting your days,
or making them count?

Last week, I had some great days.
Some really really great days.
Ones that counted and also were part of my successes. :)

I got promoted at my autistic preschool job. I went to lead staff over the girl I love working with. This means I get to be so much more involved in helping her succeed and seeing her learn. I get to work with her so much more. I get a raise, I get more hours and most of all I get to do the job in this program that I've wanted since I started working there. That was a huge compliment and achievement. Success is getting a promotion, but happiness is loving my job until that point.

I had craft Saturday. And with Brad, Aaron and Kylee, made the cutest little crafts. Not to mention walked around my favorite store in the world... Hobby Lobby. Success is making hobby lobby happen, and happiness is loving the craft that didn't meet expectations.

And I made the road trip home to my family.

This little sister of mine will be by my side for the next seven days. I love her!!!

"We may not have it all together,
but together, we have it ALL" :)

I love my sisters!!!
Even the one we tease all day long.

And my very good-looking happy family.
That grows every year.
This year we have a new addition, our exchange student from Finland: Mona.
I love being home :)
There's nothing better than this.
