Before you read this blog, I must catch you up on some changes.
I have a new URL with the married name acknowledged: afewpaceswrite.blogspot.com The label section at the bottom of my blog will help it be easy to navigate through the DIY projects, wedding posts, recipes and so on. I added a PinIt button. So, if you ever want to save a blog post to Pinterest, hover over the picture and click "Pin It."
Now, concerning brooch bouquets.
I was scanning through Facebook the other night & I saw the owner of a flower boutique make a sad comment... how fresh flowers didn't really work out in the 100 degree weather. Ouch. Wedding flower fail. Wilted flowers aren't the look that's in right now, and I feel sad all those beautiful and expensive bouquets that got ruined in the sun.
Turn that frown upside down brides. Your summer wedding dream can still come true.
I must put in a plug for one of the greatest things I did for my wedding: silk flower brooch bouquet. When people heard I was doing a vintage themed wedding, they were thrilled and suggested the brooch bouquets they had seen floating around pinterest. I loved them, but for the look I was going for, I needed my bouquet to be a little more elegant and less busy.
I found silver & pearl brooches. I used silk hydrangeas and pearls and I made my very own brooch bouquet. Wrapped in burlap, lace & a coral bow.
There are four reasons why I would suggest this to anyone.
1. You can keep it
When paying all that money for a bouquet.... you should be able to keep it!
I can keep mine on the shelf forever.
I can show my children.
2. It will not wilt or get ruined from your wedding day!
100 degrees or freezing temperatures, the flowers are safe.
One less thing to worry about.
You can use it for your bridals, formals, wedding day, reception & open house.

3. It is unique & trendy.
My bouquet was beautiful.
It sparkles.
Personalize it to your colors & theme.
I added burlap, you could too.
I loved it & so many others did as well.
4. I make them, so I already know where you can find one!
But if you'd rather find a different style, they sell them on Etsy.
However, I will let you know, theirs are a lot more pricey than mine.
