Back to Reality

We were welcomed home from our honeymoon with a beautiful mess & then life began. Andrea, Diane & the mastermind Nolan decorated our home &  trapped us with police tape and balloons.

People ask how married life is. Well, it feels close to the same. Except my last name has changed. The fridge isn't divided by thirds or fourths or sixths. The laundry has doubled. I sleep in a large bed with a sexy hubby. I cook dinner every night & we don't eat out as much. I can shower with the door open. Watch movies from our bed. Get breakfast made for me on the weekends.

You could say life is even better than before.

I go to work still. I love my job. I hang out with Brody every week-- and Kylee too. We hang out with the married friends quite often. There are just some things I have loved.

Like...

Cooking for my man & using my new appliances. Love love love my kitchen aid.

Riding our loves Tom & Jerry.
We get confused family members & friends asking why we drive separate. Most girls like to clutch tightly to their motorcyclists waist and enjoy the ride. That's just not who we are. We ride together. It's how we met. Riding our own bikes. Something we both love. Some couples love to run together or play sports together. We like to ride together. It's not about getting from point a to point b, it's the ride. High giving with our feet. Weaving in and out. Racing. Shining the light for Jerry at night. Tom & Jerry are part of who we are as a couple from the beginning. And they will continue to be a part of us. Plus, Jerry is a Honda so he's here for the long haul.

Play dates with Aunt Lauren

So far, I've stolen this boy twice. So Kylee can do some homework and photo editing. He really likes to swing I've discovered. Also, when I play my guitar for him outside. He sings along.

Spending time with Brody has taught me some great things about this young young man.

1. He prefers country music over pop.
2. All pets learn to fear Brody
3. He mimics the sounds of birds
4. He loves his Aunt Lauren & food

Friday night - date night

I love dates with Pj. And I love having a scrumptious meal ready when he comes home.

His reaction to the below picture. "Oh this is nice! ...are those bananas?"

That's what ya get for spreading out the tortellini all fancy like.

Then we do fun childish things. Like use our free coups to roller skate & play arcade games.

I made him choose skates... Basically so I could watch him use the wall & later on crash into the wall....

Also, cuz it's a date that I feel pretty confident in my skills (unlike water activities, bowling & things that require heavy lifting).

We are awesome.

At the end, we had a TON of tickets. Probably enough for a blow up hammer or whoopsie cushion. For the first time, we sacrificed our sticky eye balls and temporary tattoos and gave our tickets to a boy who was sitting on the ground with tears in his eyes. Awe, made our night.

Ice cream. Red box.

Whooowee, Date nights are the best.

School & Work

I start summer school on Monday. And have already done two weeks of practicum work. Including 8 hours outside of my regular working hours. Woot woot. Getting to 300 hours will be a piece of cake, since I love my job & it involves lesson plans for an outdoor classroom & day camp mornings.

FAQ: What comes next for the Paces?
-Lauren graduates in December with a BS in Family, Consumer & Human Development with a couple emphasis in Child Development and Family & Community Services.
-Lauren & Pj will be going to China & Taiwan in January for a study abroad. Pj speaks Chinese and that is his minor. Going to China is a dream of his.
-Then Lauren gets to be Pj's suga-momma while Pj finishes his degree.
